STARTING SERVER

Simple startup
Start server by double clicking Server.exe or by shortcut if you have made any.

From menu, choose New Channel.

You will normally see this window on startup (If AutoRun is activated, this step is skipped. See more here for more info on the subject)

Fill in information as it fits.
IP-address should normally be 127.0.0.1 (loopback-address). If you encounter problems with this setting, try using your external (WAN) ip-address.

If this is the first time running Ouka, it's advisable to configure the server before you connect to the network. See basic configuration part I for more information.

If you previously has made a startup file, you will see the server executing those commands by itself. You are ready to connect to the network.
Connect by chosing Connect WPN from the menu. At the top of Ouka server, you should now see the amount of other primarys you are connected to.

You will be able to see extended information in the ServerInfo-page.

Auto Run
By enabling the Auto Run, you dont have to verify initial settings each time you start the server.

First, make sure Auto Run is enabled.

The next time you start the server, both the settings from Server.ini and ChatStartup.txt will be loaded and users will be able to enter instantly.

You will need to connect to the WPN, before the server is shown in the room list. Do so, by choosing Connect WPN from the Channel-menu.
Newer versions of OCS includes a feature called ReStartWPN. If you want the server to auto-connect to WPN on startup, you need to change default settings. Read about WPN-settings.
